Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional

2025-2026

The Mountain View–Birch Tree R-III School District is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with special needs at Mountain View Elementary This full-time position requires travel between both buildings and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional and behavioral strategies.

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with disabilities across various settings (classroom, resource room, etc.).

  • Help students with academic tasks, self-care, mobility, and communication as needed.

  • Support students in developing social skills and appropriate classroom behavior.

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to certified staff.

  • Prepare instructional materials and adapt resources under the direction of the special education teacher.

  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.

  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with all district policies and procedures.

  • Travel between Birch Tree Elementary and Liberty High School as assigned.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher, principal, or special education director.

Seasonal Groundskeeper

The Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District is now accepting applications for a Seasonal Groundskeeper. This position includes duties such as mowing, trimming, general lawn care, and outdoor maintenance of district grounds.

Applicants must be dependable, hardworking, and able to work independently in varying weather conditions.
