Lady Eagles with a big win last nigh vs Koshkonong in the Lady Dawg Classic. Tonight they will take on Bunker at 7:15 pm in Van Buren.

The LHS Lady Eagles opened their season at Alton tonight. The Eagles fell in both JV & Varsity games, the Varsity ending in a 42-34 final score.





School will not be in session Monday, November 20, through Monday, November 27. We will return to school on Tuesday, November 28. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break!


LMS's Scholar Bowl team participated in their first competition. The students had an amazing day, learned a lot about the process, and did very well in competition. Great job students, Mrs. Smith and Ms. Yarber!




Big THANK YOU to Vaughn Redi-Mix & Jimmie Gehlken for their donation of pea gravel to go under/around the new playground equipment being installed at MVE! Our community support is second to none!!



LHS Educators Rising collected items and created 28 Thanksgiving meal bags to send home with students in need. These Educators Rising students were also able to put items in both the high school and middle school care closets.
Educators Rising provides high school students with teaching experience and sustains their interest in the profession through online and in-person support networks.


Mr. Tipton's class participated in a Shake Ice Cream STEM activity today. Students learned about the stages of matter how the starting temperature of the ingredients needed to decrease to turn into a delicious treat!







A bus barn warming took place at the new Liberty Eagles bus barn at noon today. The Board of Education, the district and building administrators, and the transportation department gathered to celebrate! We were joined by a couple generous community members who played a huge part in the completion. (These community members prefer to stay out of the spotlight.). We had special support from others during the construction process! MVBT is so grateful for the love and support from our community!
Today, we also celebrated the retirement of two special bus drivers, Carol Wright and Shebra Kelts! Congratulations, Carol and Shebra! You will be greatly missed! Thank you for taking great care of our students!











Reminder, basketball meet the team will be tomorrow night at 5 pm. Entry is a donation, snacks, sports drinks, water, towels, etc. We will accept any donations.
Hot dog or hamburger plate, and concessions, and fun, come meet the 2023-24 basketball teams.

JH girls game tonight with Licking is a 5:30 start time. I think there were some schedules that show 6 pm.

Middle School families mark your calendars! LMS's 2nd Quarter Parent Night is December 5.


Joseph Rodriguez and Melodie Haynes, two of our Mountain View-Birch Tree special education teachers, were honored by a visit from John S. Turner, Associate MSU Professor of Educational Leadership, and Senator Karla Eslinger, Majority Caucus Whip today, November 13, 2023. Mr. Turner and Senator Eslinger presented Mr. Rodriguez and Mrs. Haynes their stole for graduation and to celebrate their completion of the Pathways for Paraprofessionals program. They are two of sixteen students state-wide to be the first to complete the program. Congratulations Joey and Melodie!







For the first time ever, our Elementary Liberty Eagles from the Birch Tree and Mountain View campuses are coming together to put on a dazzling show. Come out and support your Elementary Liberty Eagles!


Big things are happening at MVE! The new playground equipment piece will be installed over Thanksgiving break.
BTE will also be having some new playground equipment installed soon! We cannot wait to see all the smiling faces playing!


Don't forget that school WILL BE in session on Monday, November 13. It is one of the few scheduled "5 day weeks" we have during the 2023-2024 school year. We look forward to seeing all of our students everyday next week.

Congratulations to LHS basketball player Terrell Gaines, for making the cover of the Ozarks Basketball Preview. The LHS Eagles are fully underway in practice and looking forward to the new season.


The game at Fair Grove tonight should be on MSHSAA tv.

So many things are happening around LMS! We have rewarded many 'Golden Ticket' winners. Our substitute teachers award one student a ticket for being a great representative for LMS. We are so proud of our kind and considerate students. Mr. Gastineau was the winner of our Teacher Trivia! LMS is an awesome place!










Parents and students, thank you for making attendance a priority. November is a special month, providing us with 15 days in school and 15 days out of school! Thank you for showing up every day!
