Attention Liberty Middle School 6th grade students and parents! We will hold sixth grade orientation on Monday, August 12. Doors open at 5:30, but the presentation and sample bell schedule will begin at 6 o'clock. We hope to see you there.
Seventh and eighth grade students will be able to pick up their schedules at the back-to-school fair on August 13. We hope to see everyone there! Even though the sixth grade students are having orientation, we want 6th graders to attend the back-to-school fair, too! It will be loads of fun.

ELEMENTARY PARENTS: We know that seeing is believing, and we’re excited to invite you to visit your child's classroom and explore their amazing learning space for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year!
Please don't let this stop you from attending the Back to School Kick-off! If you miss the kick-off on the 13th, you will miss out on a lot of fun and the extreme support of the community! August 15th will just be a time for you to get a glimpse of your child's classroom. This year we want you to have an opportunity to do both!

Don't miss an opportunity to serve on the Community and Parent Advisory Committee for the 24-25 school year! This is your chance to make a difference in our school district by sharing your perspectives and discussing important issues. We will meet quarterly to ensure your voices are heard and valued. I am committed to hearing from our community and parents. Applications are due August 1. I want to thank those who have already completed an application.
Apply now and be a part of shaping the future of the Liberty Eagles! (School employees are ineligible to apply.)

Save the Date!

The Back to School Kickoff Committee spent the day shopping. They would like to thank the amazing manager/employees at the Walmart on Independence in Springfield. They went above and beyond to help them! From counting thousands of supplies, digging them out of the back and even wheeling them out to the car to help load! They were so thankful for their help today!
School supply lists will be updated soon!

Students and staff, please plan ahead! There are several days we are NOT in session this year. Please plan your future appointments and vacations on these dates to ensure you maintain excellent attendance. Let's continue to strive for less than 5 absences throughout the year. Let’s work together to make every school day count!

Earlier this week, Teresa Miley, the beloved retired secretary of Birch Tree Elementary and current secretary substitute at Mountain View-Birch Tree School District, was honored with the prestigious "Above and Beyond" award by Senator Bean and Representative Travis Smith.
Teresa has touched the lives of hundreds of families in our school district and is a true community hero. She leads an addiction recovery group in Birch Tree and participates in numerous community events. Teresa’s compassion and leadership have made a lasting impact on all who know her. She is one of the most compassionate ladies you will ever meet, a true leader, and our very own hometown hero!
Thank you, Teresa, for making such a positive difference in the Birch Tree community. Your dedication and kindness inspire us all. We also want to extend our gratitude to Herman Kelly and Tara Reed for organizing this wonderful presentation.

Congratulations, Shelly Mantel!
