We will soon bid farewell to our longtime Maintenance Director, Roger Gall. He retires at the end of June & we are sending him off in the way he prefers; a fish fry with colleagues. Roger has been an integral part of the MVBT district for a very long time. We will miss him greatly but wish him nothing but health & happiness in retirement! Thank you for your years of dedicated service to the school district! 🦅

Drivers Education class time is over so please watch out for the driver education car as students start the driving portion. Special thanks to Walmart’s Sharing the Road No Zone Awareness program headed by Mr. Taber. The students got to view what a trucker sees.  Special Thanks to Sargent Young with the Highway Police Department to letting the students know what to do when being pulled over and discussing good choices. They really enjoyed driving his drunk driving course. Special thanks to the Abel Insurance representative Crystal Stoops for sharing your knowledge regarding legal responsibility from the insurance side to the students.

We want to inform you about an incident that just occurred involving one of our summer school buses en route to Birch Tree. During the journey, a student made three phone calls from the bus to the highway patrol. The last call conveyed a concerning message, indicating a threat was made on the bust. Naturally, this raised immediate alarm, and our protocol for such situations was activated. Our team swiftly contacted all buses in the vicinity, and I'm relieved to report that upon inspection, all buses were found to be safe and without any threat. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students are our utmost priority. We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident thoroughly. This incident might cause a short delay in your child arriving home this afternoon. We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Rest assured, we are taking every necessary measure to ensure the continued safety of all students and staff. We will keep you updated on any developments as the investigation progresses. Mrs. Tharp, Superintendent
