Congratulations to the Liberty Eagle football team tonight as they top Springfield Catholic in first round district play. Carter Pruett breaks several school rushing records, both single game and career. Great job coaches and players.

Today LHS students took a trip to Eminence High School to attend a hands-on career day in collaboration with a St. Louis-based company (Alberici Contractors). They brought a few pieces of their equipment; a crane, concrete forms, welding area, etc. Students had opportunities to get hands-on experiences with this event. They spoke with the students about job opportunities, wages, the union, etc. I think the students had a good time and were able to experience some other opportunities available to them. Thank you Eminence High School for hosting this event and inviting our students. Of course we had to top off the day eating at The Dairy Shack on their last day open of the season!

Liberty High School’s Traction Team presented the Smart Riders program to the students at Ozark Action Head Start on Monday October 23rd. They spoke to the students on these four safety topics: Boosters to seat belts; Smart Walking; Distracted Driving; and safe bicycle riding. The Traction Team would like to thank the teachers and administrator at the head start for allowing them to work with the students.

At this time hudl is not communicating with MSHSAA TV. We have contacted them and it is a problem with their server. We hope to have streaming back as soon as possible.

Sectional volleyball tonight!! Liberty vs Fair Grove gates open at 5:15, game time 6:30.

Liberty High School has begun a Educators Rising chapter! Educators Rising helps students develop the strong leadership traits found in high-quality educators by offering various opportunities for student leadership. LHS Educators Rising members went to the Southwest Regional State Conference at Missouri State University-Springfield. They heard a keynote speaker, sat in on round tables from different departments of education from the university, and learned about the state competitions.

Parents as Teachers Group Connections

This is Mrs. Tharp, Superintendent . This message is an update from the message that was sent on Friday evening. After looking into the threat that was reported, we have found no evidence of it being of a sincere nature. All threats will be considered a serious matter and an investigation will follow, which will most often result in long-term suspensions regardless of the intent of the threat. Together, we will do whatever we need to do to keep our students and staff safe. If you ever hear or see something, don't hesitate to say something. School will not be in session tomorrow due to parent teacher conferences. We look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday morning!
