This week, our 8th-grade scientists explored changes in state using a freeze dryer! A freeze dryer removes moisture through sublimation, where a substance transitions directly from a solid to a gas, skipping the liquid phase.
To make the lesson even sweeter, students got to test out different types of freeze-dried candy—a fun and tasty way to see science in action! #TheLMSWay

A four-win day for the Liberty Eagles yesterday in the Legends Shootout. The girls win two games, the JV and varsity boys both with wins. Great job players and coaches. A big thank you to Champ s Fitness, Tune, Logging, Alton Bank, (Parts City) Mountain View Auto Parts, and the Anchor. We appreciate the donations for helping run the shootout.
Our 6th graders wrapped up their Ancient China unit with a hands-on project—Panda Calligraphy! They had the opportunity to learn and practice writing their names in Chinese, which was easier said than done! However, their hard work paid off, and the results were absolutely wonderful.
Great job, 6th grade! #TheLMSWay

Liberty Eagles take on the Ava Bears tonight at 6 pm, reminder Hoop Queen will be Monday V Couch, we only had 1 home game left and that was Thayer on Senior Night. The girls were originally scheduled away tonight, and that had to be changed because of McDonald County and a conflict.

For the shootout tomorrow the admission will be $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. We will do a hand stamp or ticket so you can come and go. Liberty will play 4 total games tomorrow. We will also honor SCA passes as well as employees are in for free, but just the employee on this.

Girls head to Houston tonight to play the Tigers at 6 pm. Lady Eagles are 12-7 on the season. Good luck tonight!!

Awesomeness Alert!!! We just have to share something awesome from Mrs. Wilbanks' 8th-grade math class! She introduced functions in the most creative way—with a Function Auction! Students learned what functions are while managing budgets and bidding on function lots. It was incredible to see them so engaged and having fun with learning. Way to go, Mrs. Wilbanks! #TheLMSway

Often when athletic directors see "You have a special report" on the MSHSAA site it is usually a bad thing, but this one wasn't. A big shout out to coaches Smith and Tipton for a positive MSHSAA school to school report from Cabool High School. Cabool had a rough situation on Monday with sickness and injuries, they still played us despite being short handed. According to the report we displayed great sportsmanship and rotated girls in and out during the game.
