Ms. Yarber’s 7th grade math class took learning outside! Using sidewalk chalk, they practiced calculating the circumference and area of circles while enjoying the fresh air. Hands-on math in the sunshine is a great way to engage our students and bring lessons to life!

🎉 Congratulations to our Student of the Month, Drystan Hamilton! 🎉
Drystan is a 7th grader at Liberty Middle School who truly embodies what it means to be an Eagle. He is kind, hardworking, and an exceptional student in every way. We are so proud of his dedication and positive attitude!
A big thank you to Andrea McNew at Shelter Insurance for sponsoring our Student of the Month program. Your support helps us recognize outstanding students like Drystan! 🦅✨

Last week, we had a great time at the volleyball game where LMS staff served hotdogs grilled by Mr. Johnson and Mr. Gastineau! Parents and students enjoyed fun games, and there was information available about attendance for those interested. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the evening a success! 🏐🌭

Mrs. Moore’s Life Skills class had a blast with a boys vs. girls bake-off, and muffins were on the menu! Both teams brought their A-game, creating some delicious treats. It was a fun (and tasty) competition, and everyone enjoyed the results! 🧁👩🍳👨🍳

Today, we celebrated Custodian and Maintenance Appreciation Day across all of our buildings! These hardworking individuals are the backbone of our schools, ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained every day. We deeply appreciate everything they do to create a positive and welcoming environment for our students and staff. Thank you to all of our amazing custodial and maintenance teams for your dedication and hard work!

LMS 6th Grade Parents: Parent Night is October 15! We hope to see you there!

Mrs. Tiffany Webb is the MVBT September Teacher of the Month! Mrs. Webb teaches 5th grade Science at Mountain View Elementary. Here are a few things her colleagues say about her:
Tiffany Webb is selfless, she spends her time and often $$ making life better for her co-workers. She often spends her "spare time" helping create document and organizational tools to help keep us on track. This is evident in both her service as a Kickoff teammate and 5th grade teacher. She always goes above and beyond! She needs to be recognized for this. Tiff is the best! She cares so deeply for each and every one of her students like her own. She is also is probably the most organized person at MVE. She makes sure, not only her room, but her neighboring colleagues and their rooms are organized and neat as well, making it the best possible place for these students to learn! Tiffany is such an asset at MVBT. I am on the Back to School Fair Committee with her and the event wouldn't happen if it wasn't for her leadership. She is literally the gasoline that keeps the fire lit. I also know she's a passionate teacher that motivates students to do their best. If "Hard Worker" would be an award, she'd win it. Tiffany Webb’s creativity and tireless dedication bring science to life for her 5th-grade students. Her passion for teaching makes every lesson engaging and memorable, inspiring a love for learning. Tiffany Webb’s boundless energy and creativity make her 5th-grade science classroom an exciting place to learn.
Mrs. Webb was presented with a gift certificate to a local restaurant from the school district. In addition, Ruffwood Market donated a cute bag to present to her.
Congratulations, Mrs. Tiffany Webb. We appreciate you!

Save the date!

Mr. Dan Lee is the September Support Staff Member of the Month! Dan is the MVBT bus mechanic, along with a bus route driver. Here are some things his colleagues say about him:
Dan does it all for the bus barn! He drives, covers, and makes sure everything is taken care of for our students. He is the best! He cares and works very hard at his job. Dan has a lot of responsibility to keep our buses safe and on the road everyday. He has a positive attitude. He is focused. He is committed and one of the hardest workers I know. Our bus mechanic works tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring that our buses are safe and ready to go each day. His dedication and expertise keep our transportation department running smoothly, making a big difference in the lives of our students and staff. Dan’s hard work and attention to detail ensure that our buses are always reliable and safe. We deeply appreciate his dedication to keeping our students’ journeys smooth and secure every day!
Congratulations, Dan Lee.! We appreciate you!

Volleyball tonight V Cabool C set at 5:00 pm with JV and Varsity to follow. JH volleyball will play here vs Willow at 5:30. Cross Country at Mountain Grove today.

Mrs. Moore's Life Skills class had a fun and tasty time trying to clean out the fridge! The students made a “hodgepodge” of food, as Mrs. Moore called it, and the menu was delicious:
🍫 Chocolate Chip Muffins
🍫 Chocolate Mug Cakes
🍕 Crescent Roll Pepperoni Pizza Bites
*James went his own way with a Tortilla Cheese Pizza! 😉
Everyone left with full bellies and big smiles!

Ms. Daniels' students had a great time today learning about producers and consumers! It was so fun to watch as the sellers worked hard to persuade the buyers to purchase their goods. Ms. Daniels captured some pictures of the excitement!

This week at LMS!
