Lady Eagles golf tee’d up in Mtn Grove for a 9 hole match at Randel Hinkle Golf Course. Both girls struggled out of the gate today. Payton started her day of with a triple bogey and a few double pars but kept grinding it out through the round. Kameryn also got off to a rough start being +6 after her first 3 holes. Her tee shot off the par 4 3rd hole barely went OB which resulted in a triple bogey. She then went on to make 5 straight pars to claim the lead! Payton finished 23rd today and Kameryn won her 4th straight meet! Awesome job girls!! ⛳️🦅

Update at 11:38am - We were just made aware that the situation has been taken care of.
We are aware of a situation taking place in the City of Birch Tree. You may have noticed sirens or seen Sheriff, SWAT, or police vehicles in the area. Please be assured, this is not occurring near any of our school buildings.
At Birch Tree Elementary, all outside doors are securely locked as usual, and students will remain indoors until the situation is resolved. Since this matter does not involve our district or students, we do not have any further details to share at this time.
Thank you for your understanding and support.

Tonight we have HS and MS volleyball both at home. LMS will host Cabool at 5:30, and LHS will host Ava with a C set beginning at 5 pm. Football at Willow tomorrow night 7:00 pm.

Shoutout to Mr. Herring's 7th grade science students who got creative with their learning! 🌟 They recently held a 'Cell Part Election,' where each student gave campaign speeches to advocate for their assigned cell part as the most important. What a fantastic way to bring science to life and learn about the functions of cells in a fun, interactive way!

This morning, it was heartwarming to see so many of our students, staff, and parents gather at the flagpole for 'Meet Me at the Pole.' Moments like these remind us of the strength and unity we have here in our Mountain View-Birch Tree family. Thank you to everyone who took time to come together in prayer and support for our schools, our community, and each other.

Don't forget we are having a bus evacuation drill at the end of today. There is a chance your child may arrive home a few minutes early or a few minutes late. Thank you for your patience as we complete our drill. It's difficult to predict exactly how long it will take. Have a good weekend!
