At Liberty Middle School, we focus on the Six Pillars of Good Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship.
During our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, we proudly recognized six outstanding eighth graders, each chosen for consistently demonstrating one of these important character traits throughout the school year.
We’re proud of all our students, and especially those who lead by example through their actions and integrity.

It’s been a blast at Liberty Middle School today! Students who had no negative marks on their citizenship cards were entered into a special drawing, and four lucky winners walked away with great prizes. Our staff perfect attendance drawing winner was Kelli Smotherman, who won a brand-new YETI. And a big shout-out to our eighth graders, who left their mark—literally—on our LMS wall as part of their lasting legacy. #TheLMSWay

Our kids in Life Skills have been having so much fun! Today, they folded and put away laundry they washed, made tortilla pizzas, played a few rounds of Uno while the pizzas baked, and even washed the dishes afterward.
Two of our students also made a homemade caramel apple pie—and they said it was delicious! 🍎🥧
Learning life skills and making memories along the way! 💙❤️ #TheLMSWay

This is Mr. Daniels. Due to the forecast of heavy storms tonight, we will not be asking parents to come in for SYNC night. We will hold a shortened version of SYNC night at LHS immediately following the 8th grade promotion ceremony. The 8th grade promotion will is being held at LMS tomorrow night beginning at 6:00pm (5/20/25).

Soccer districts, and baseball district have both been cancelled today. They will resume at the normal scheduled times tomorrow. The Liberty Eagles track team concluded their season Saturday in the sectional round at Mountain Grove. Although we had no state qualifiers, several student athletes set personal records, as well as the 4x100 team broke the school record again.

SYNC Night is Monday night, 5/19/25, for next year's incoming freshman (this year's 8th grade students) and their parents. During this time we will give you information about LHS and help you and your student fill out their schedule for their first year of high school. Due to our baseball team playing in the second round of districts, we will not be starting SYNC Night until 7:00pm. This will give any of our students and staff time to get back from the game in time to be there to help out. Thank you for understanding and we look forward to meeting each of you! Mr. Daniels

A Tie to Remember!
At graduation last night, our seniors surprised Mr. Daniels by handing him one of his own ties as they crossed the stage—ties he’s worn throughout the years at school events, games, and special occasions.
This final "prank" from our seniors was the perfect way to say “thank you” to a principal who’s been by their side every step of the way.
Stay tuned for pictures from the ceremony.
Congratulations, Class of 2025!

1st Place Goes to... Crumb and Get It!
Congratulations to the 1st place winners of Liberty High School's Annual Food Truck Competition – Crumb and Get It! Their winning dish? A mouthwatering Blue Monster Cookie loaded with chocolate chip cookies, Oreos, and both white and chocolate chips. It was as delicious as it sounds!
Other standout entries included:
A flavorful taco topped with homemade pico
Sweet and colorful confetti cupcakes
Savory Asian honey chicken
Every student brought their A-game with creative truck designs, thoughtful menus, and amazing food presentations. We are so proud of their hard work, teamwork, and culinary talents. Great job, Liberty students!

Students and staff are safe and have returned to class. We will continue to keep our eye on the weather.

Our area is under a tornado warning. All students are safe and secure, following tornado protocols in each building. Staff are sheltering with students. We might not be able to answer the phone during this time.

Tuesday OZH and MVBT will be doing our 2nd annual free sport and activity physical day . The providers will begin at each elementary around 8:15 to get the incoming 6th grade. They will then head the LHS where the LMS students will come over and then the HS students will get theirs. We are doing annual physicals for our students. This makes it much easier to keep track of.
