Often when athletic directors see "You have a special report" on the MSHSAA site it is usually a bad thing, but this one wasn't. A big shout out to coaches Smith and Tipton for a positive MSHSAA school to school report from Cabool High School. Cabool had a rough situation on Monday with sickness and injuries, they still played us despite being short handed. According to the report we displayed great sportsmanship and rotated girls in and out during the game.

At the January board meeting, the Board of Education adopted the calendar for the 2025-2026 school year. Several parents, staff, students, and community members completed a survey which helped us determine that a week-long Spring Break was preferred over a week-long Thanksgiving Break. We added a 1/2 day for Homecoming back to the calendar. Our last day of school will be a 1/2 day. We will begin the school year on August 18, 2025, and end the school year on May 22, 2026.

BTE kicked off Literacy Week with a virtual author visit with Nick Bruel. The kids were so excited as the Bad Kitty series is one of their favorites! Nick read a part of his newest Bad Kitty book. He also showed the kids how to draw Bad Kitty. While drawing Bad Kitty, Nick also talked about how by just adding or changing one thing on Kitty’s face changes her feelings. We also learned that 2025 is Bad Kitty’s 20th Anniversary!

Pop-Up PD Success!
We recently hosted a pop-up professional development session focused on math for grades K-2, but it was open to all staff. A huge thank you to our amazing presenters for sharing their knowledge and strategies! Your insights will help us bring fresh ideas and practices back to our classrooms.
Together, we’re making a difference for our students!

Due to the high number of sick students and staff across the district, school will not be in session tomorrow, Friday, January 31. Tomorrow will be an AMI Learn and Return Day, so please complete your assignments and return your packets on Tuesday, February 4.
We encourage all students and staff to rest, take care of yourselves, and focus on getting healthy over the weekend. Let’s work together to stop the spread of illness and come back strong next week!
Stay well, Liberty Eagles!
